Aaaaannndd we’re back with another Lemon Drop.
If you missed the previous Lemon Drops (#01, #02) be sure to get yourself caught up to speed.
In today’s Lemon Drop, there are quite a few goodies we’re announcing. Also included are a few previous updates in case you missed them. The team is already off onto the next priorities in our roadmap so expect the next Lemon Drop to be just as exciting as the first 3.

Public API + Webhooks
We’re excited to announce the new Lemon Squeezy API. 🎉🍋🍾
Due to popular demand, we prioritized our public API and webhooks ahead of some other core features. Currently, the API is considered BETA and as such only provides read-only endpoints for all resources. In time we plan to expand that API and add CRUD endpoints for all resources.
In addition to our API rollout, you’ll also see we’ve opened up the ability to leverage webhooks. Webhooks are particularly useful for asynchronous events like when a license key is created or when a subscription expires.
This new development is going to open so many doors for other awesome things we have planned for Lemon Squeezy. Not to mention all the awesome stuff the community can now create.
WordPress Plugin
The entire Lemon Squeezy team is rooted in WordPress. It’s safe to say, our history with WordPress goes back to the beginning of when WordPress itself started. It would only make sense that we build an official Lemon Squeezy WordPress plugin.
On top of that, the community itself is still as vibrant as it always has been and it’s hard to ignore 42% market share.
To be clear, we’re not just building a WordPress plugin because we know WordPress. We’re building it in hopes to create a more modern approach to selling digital products for those who happen to already use WordPress. The WordPress admin experience should feel as delightful as using Lemon Squeezy itself.
High-level plans for the WP plugin will allow you to sell your Lemon Squeezy products, manage orders, run newlsetters, restrict content, memberships, and more.
Like everything else we do, we’ll continue to add to our API endpoints and introduce more and more depth based on feedback and requests.
Affiliate Program
In case you missed it, we rolled out the new Lemon Squeezy affiliate program. You can now promote Lemon Squeezy and earn *recurring* commissions every month.
By joining the new affiliate program, you get rewarded for every month your referral remains a Lemon Squeezy customer. Over time, your commission payouts will continue to grow into larger and larger payouts.

Lemon Squeezy 101 Video Series
Our Lemon Squeezy 101 series for creators has officially kicked off. 🎥
Join @mikemcalister as we walk through launching a free Lemon Squeezy store, creating your first digital product, and sharing it with the world.
In the first two episodes, we cover creating your first product with Lemon Squeezy. Also, how to share your product using our hosted checkout or checkout overlay on your own website.
Next up we’ll be covering more in-depth walkthroughs of how to customize your storefront, set up subscriptions, and more.
Once we wrap up the 101 series, we’ll move into creating a digital product from scratch and leveraging Lemon Squeezy to sell it.

Coming Soon
We’re on a roll and if we’re being honest, we’re up to our eyes in lemons. Today, Lemon Squeezy is already a powerful platform that allows you to sell digital products. In the future, it will be *everything* you need to sell digital products.
Like I mentioned earlier, the team is moving straight into the next priorities on our roadmap. These are the features actively being developed:
- Custom Domains
- Email Marketing (newsletters, broadcasts, subscribers, etc.)
- WordPress Plugin
- Website Builder Iterations (customizable storefronts)
