New: Test mode

Starting today, test mode is enabled on all stores.

Test mode allows you to test almost every aspect of the platform without using real data.

You can test:

• Orders and the entire checkout flow
• Different types of products and discounts
• Subscriptions and license keys
• Webhooks and API responses
• and more

With the launch of test mode, we’re shifting our focus to supercharging the API & SaaS capabilities within Lemon Squeezy. Our mission is to make it easy for software companies to build fully customized experiences and give you the tools to run your entire SaaS business.

Existing merchant accounts

By default, the test mode is automatically enabled for all existing stores. Once you’re inside your store, you will see a test mode toggle you can enable and disable.

New merchant accounts

With the launch of test mode, a new activation process was rolled out for all new Lemon Squeezy merchants. As a new merchant of Lemon Squeezy, your store will be set to test mode by default. As a new store, you will have full access to every feature while in test mode.

Additionally, you can add products, test purchases, and set up your store. Once you’re ready to go live with your store, you submit your activation details by answering questions about you and your business.
