Welcome to Lemon Drop #02 — catching you up on all the latest and greatest with Lemon Squeezy.
In the previous Lemon Drop, the focus was all about the current BETA launch. 250 private invites we’re sent and all in all, the BETA was a smashing success. Loads of brilliant feedback, new sales flowing in for all the stores, and new products being released daily by some amazing creators.
Additionally, newly released features were highlighted. As a quick refresher, you now have the ability for more payout options as the platform expanded Bank Payouts to 45 new countries, more control over License Key Variables, and a laundry list of bug fixes were shipped.
In today’s Lemon Drop, we’re breaking down all the details for the official launch of Lemon Squeezy. On top of that, we also have some quick updates on all the other work we’ve been up to. Here’s a quick preview of what we’ll be covering in today’s issue:
Let’s jump right in.
That’s right folks.
There’s a launch date set and it’s just weeks away.
July 26th can’t come soon enough.
At the current moment, the final touches are being put on the new Lemon Squeezy website. As we prepare for our launch, we’ve spent loads of time working through the details. How we position our product, how we price it and adding any last remaining features based on our beta feedback.
The reality is, e-commerce, taxes, fraud is hard but unfortunately, it’s required to run your business and stay compliant. As a store owner, you waste valuable time, energy, and money.
The beauty of Lemon Squeezy is the platform acts as the merchant of record. Leaving you stress-free and focused on building your business.
In terms of pricing for Lemon Squeezy, you’ve got options. Whether you’re just getting started selling, or you’re a seasoned creator with loads of products your plan will scale with you. Every Lemon Squeezy plan has all the same core options that put all the control in the store owner’s hands.
The final feature to be finished before the public launch will be the first iteration of the Lemon Squeezy website builder. Giving store owner’s the first taste of controlling their storefront with Lemon Squeezy.
As a store owner, you need a home for your products. You also want the flexibility to quickly send payment links in tweets, newsletters, and more. The good news is, with Lemon Squeezy, you can have it all.
In this first iteration of the website builder, store owners will have access to the first (of many) features and templates. Additionally, some of the customizing features include:
We have some big plans for our website builder. Over the years, the team has a lot of experience in building website builders. From years of experience building our own CMS platforms, working within the WordPress and web hosting industry all the way to building & running Dunked.com (100,000+ sites and counting).
We’ve learned a thing or two.
Within the Lemon Squeezy website builder, we’re putting the power of customization in the store owner’s hands. From complete control over every element, new templates to customizing every page on your storefront. Easily customize your homepage, product pages, checkout, thank you pages, and more.
After launching to the public, this website builder (a core feature) will be a focus for the product team.
Due to popular demand, Lemon Squeezy has expanded currency support to 95 countries. As we prepare to open the platform fully to the public, the team has been working tirelessly to deliver on the most requested features. Currency support was another one at the top of the list.
A few points to highlight:
In the first week of rolling out this feature, we’re already seeing stores selling their products in their own currencies. The best part is watching store owner payouts go out every week in their own currencies as well.
As you can imagine, currently, the team is 100% focused on our upcoming public launch. As we look forward to our next Lemon Drop here’s a list of things we’re hoping to announce.
That’s all for this Lemon Drop.
Stay fresh. 🍋
